The article deals with new possibilities of electronic documentation eHealth (a global concept of electronic health care) and examines the use of information technologies in health care. It describes the issue of keeping medical records in electronic form and then analyzes the method of implementation of these technologies. The electronic form of this information will greatly simplify and make available the transfer of information. Currently, this form is required mainly from workers in the medical and biomedical fields. At the beginning of the article are sections devoted to the history, development, and future possible direction of healthcare. It focuses on the implementation of the information system, ensuring its security and data protection. Followed by general information, characteristics, and elements of healthcare 4.0. Emphasis is placed on the benefits, problems, and possible complications associated with e-health. It provides an overview of the current state of use of the electronic documentation system in some European countries and in the world.
