In Eastern Europe, Batumi is one of the dynamically increasing touristic center, development of recreational economy where creates some particular ecological issues. The urgency of the matter is also increased by the fact that ecological condition of recreational zone of city sea coast is developed with worsening tendency due to increased touristic flow and anthropogenic load. The main aim of research is to study the mechanism worsening the ecological condition of sea coast`s recreational zone, find out the geographic originalities of ecological condition of particular touristic object in the recreational zone and along to tourism development, shape the ecologically sustainable ways of improvement of natural and social-economic Geo systems. The study has revealed that potential of recreational beaches is not completely used, but ecological changes are observed in particular section and worsening tendencies are observed on areas adjacent to beaches. From one side, study of existing problems will have the biggest importance for regulation of urban development and spatial optimization of city functional zones and from another side - by foreseeing the basic principles of rational natural management, the tourism development perspectives will be established. Coming out of this, the research conducted in line with sustainable tourism development on example of specific region, would have cognitive and applicable importance as well.
