Referring to many scientific studies, we all know that the general health of the planetEarth keeps getting worse. This fact forces conscious people to take action to fightdirectly against negative climate change or to promote ecological ideas among others. Many important changes in the world have been pushed through by a large group ofpeople. This implies that a conscious society will run households in environmentallyfriendly manner and work together to bring about change at the political level. This paper introduces the design, construction and programming of the prototype of themobile robot, which will be able to clean up urban green areas in the future. For the bestpossible result, the entire trucked suspension was designed from scratch and thenfabricated with rapid prototyping. The working prototype of the robot acts as a proof ofconcept and has basic functionality. A very significant inspiration for this project is the“Wall-e” movie (Disney, Pixar), which tells a story about an adorable cleaning mobilerobot. The problem of rubbish on the streets, in the film as in our reality, is just the tipof the iceberg, but it is visible in every corner of the world, here and now. A cleaningrobot can turn out to be an ideal platform for the exchange of information betweenenvironmentalists and the common man. Before 3D printing procedure, an accurate Computer Aided Design (CAD) model of therobot has been designed as well as electronic and standardized elements have beenselected. After the assembly operations, the result was a functioning prototype visuallyreferring to the movie hero Wall-e. This took a first step in a larger cleaning robotproject – Wall-e 2.0. The prototype has simple input and output devices that make iteasier for users to program and implement new functionalities. The whole thing iscontrolled by the popular Arduino Uno microcontroller. The current program of therobot bases on a primitive state machine with the possibility of remote control orautomatic driving. In conclusion, a plan for further development has been outlined as animportant part of the paper.
