It is essential to adopt appropriate prevention measures to protect workers operating in confined spaces.
Working in confined spaces poses a risk factor for accidents or unwanted events with an impact on human health. Implementation of good practice rules in these situations is a mandatory preventive measure.
A confined space is any location not intended for regular work, has entry or exit restrictions, is under atmospheric pressure, has inadequate ventilation, a risk of drowning or suffocation, a contaminated atmosphere, or an oxygen deficiency.
Therefore, in the case of confined spaces, measures are necessary to protect workers from hostile atmospheres, from materials that may cover them, or other hazards that do not provide safety.
By implementing safety measures, the risk of accidents or unwanted events in confined spaces with potentially explosive atmospheres, cause by the presence of hydrogen, can be significantly reduced, and workers can be efficiently protected against the dangers associated with these work environments.
