Proper estimation of geomechanical parameters of the shale gas reservoir has a crucial influence on the stimulation treatments designing and therefore on hydrocarbon production from unconventional reservoir. The brittleness is the most commonly used parameter for locating the geomechanical hotspots in the reservoir.
