IMPACTS OF CHANGES IN FOREST COMPOSITION AND CLIMATE CHANGE ON THE RUNOFF PROCESSES IN THE VAH RIVER BASIN IN SLOVAKIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Roncak, P., Hlavcova, K., Poorova, J., Szolgay, J., Kohnova, S.)

The article deals with impacts of changes in forest composition and climate change on the runoff processes in the river basin in Slovakia. This work contains land use change scenarios of forest associations and also two scenarios of global climate change. Both of scenarios types of changes were prepared, and the runoff under the new conditions was simulated. Distributed rainfall-runoff models simulations are often used to evaluate the impact of such changes on the generation of runoff. These models have the advant...

IDENTIFICATION OF CATCHMENTS WITH SIMILAR FLOOD CHARACTERISTICS IN THE ALPINE-CARPATHIAN BASINS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Markova, R., Kohnova, S., Parajka, J., Poorova, J., Hall, J.)

This study uses a pooling approach to identify catchments with similar flood characteristics in the Alpine-Carpathian region. The identification of similar regions is performed using the nonhierarchical k-means clustering algorithm and different sets of catchments characteristics (catchment area, forest cover, mean catchment elevation) and flood seasonality characteristic (concentration of flood around the mean date of flood occurrence). The optimal number of cluster is determined using the silhouette method. The ...

The solving of the project of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic dedicated to sustainable agricultural management in the North Western Bohemia is under way from 2015 to 2018. The Brown Coal Research Institute is the main participant of the project. This article briefly summarises new results of the research of the Most Basin localities restoration problems. The main attention is devoted to the research of experimental areas founded in different dump localities with different dump rocks and different...

MODIFICATION OF THE NOZZLE ASSEMBLY IN A 3D PRINTER FOR PRINTING MATERIALS WITH HIGHER MELTING TEMPERATURES

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Durna, A., Fries, J., Abrudan, A., Babota, F., Munteanu, C.)

This article deals with the modification of the nozzle and its entire assembly with a hot end, so that it was not necessary to use a tephlon insertion and it was possible to reach the maximum temperatures of the nozzle reaching 280°C and above. With the gradual development of 3D printing technology FDM (fused deposition modeling), i.e. the fritting of the thermoplastic in the shape of the fibres and putting it into the layers, more demands are placed on the materials used. Materials with a greater temperature of g...
