The studied area is 1960 km2 and located in Zanjan province and is placed between 48º, 48´ to 49º, 30´ east longitude and 35 º, 57´ to 36º, 36´north latitude. Low concentration of chlorinated aliphatic compounds may be found in wastewater and contaminated soils from different industrial sources and in the air arisen from these type sources. Low levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)’s could be removed by adsorption, incineration or biofiltration methods.
