Bottom sediments of continental limnic ecosystems are of great interest to researchers as paleoarchives of changes taking place in the environment. Use of diatoms allows to reconstruct the main stages of life of lakes against the background of changing environmental conditions caused by natural and anthropogenic causes. A natural zeolite, Clinoptilolite was used to investigate its adsorption capacity for the lead (II) ions from artificial polluted tap water in this study. For the experimental studies, Clinoptilolite mineral which is 25-140 mesh size was used by activating with HCl, and lead ion removal efficiencies were examined.
