SEISMIC STRATIGRAPHIC FEATURES IN PONTIAN OF THE WESTERN BLACK SEA

(STEF92 Technology, 2021-12-20, Daniela-Doina Neagu, Elena-Rodica Stoica-Negulescu)

In oil and gas exploration we need to consider all the geological components and how they come together to have source rock character, trap formation geometry, or reservoir quality. To understand these mechanisms we have to analyze the geological evolution dictated by tectonic uplift, landscape dynamics and drainage network evolution. Paleogeography together with reconstructions of climate and sea level changes allows us to predict source and reservoir facies, which means a great advantage for exploration. The Wes...

MODELING THE RADIAL VARIATION OF THE HYDROCARBON COLLECTORS RESISTIVITY, USING THE KRIGING TECHNIQUE

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Daniela-Doina Neagu)

The resistivity of reservoir rocks varies in radial direction from Rxo (resistivity of the flushed zone) to Rt (uninvaded zone resistivity). This variation is due to different content in mud filtration, formation water and hydrocarbons from the well wall to the uninvaded zone. The penetration of the mud filter in the collector and the change of the saturation states depend on the properties of the drilling fluid as well as on properties of the collector (porosity, permeability). Electric logs devices measure an ap...

USING ACOUSTIC IMPEDANCE IN RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Ion Malureanu, Maria Stoicescu, Daniela-Doina Neagu, Laura Mariana Nistor)

Most of the wells have an associated survey suite designed for geophysical investigations, including neutron log, density log, and sonic log. These tools are used later on for singular, dual, or complex boreholes geophysical interpretation, especially for reservoir characterization in terms of lithology and porosity. It is known that the acoustic waveпїЅs velocity through different rock types is a function of the elastic properties and density of both the mineral skeleton of that rock, and the in situ fluids, stre...
