PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF PALYNOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION OF BOTTOM SEDIMENTS FROM LAKE BIG MIASSOVO (CHELYABINSK OBLAST, RUSSIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Gulnara Nigamatzyanova)

The preliminary palynological results of analysis a 524 cm long continuous sediments core from the Lake Big Miassovo (South Urals, Russia) are presented. The core was collected in July 2018 from central part of the lake from a depth of 24 m. Palynological stratigraphy has been divided into four pollen zones on the basis on changing pollen abundances and taxa composition. The predominance of Betula pendula, Pinus sylvestris and Artemisia pollen in sediments has been established. The prevalence of desert plants (Art...

PALYNOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF BOTTOM SEDIMENTS OF LAKE RUBSKOE (IVANOVO REGION, RUSSIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Gulnara Nigamatzyanova)

The results of the palynological analysis of the sediment core recovered in Lake Rubskoe (Ivanovo Region, Russia) in 2015 are presented. An environmental reconstruction of Holocene and late Pleistocene vegetation, climate and lake dynamic was inferred. Pollen analysis has shown that vegetation of the area was dominated by Betula pendula, Pinus and Alnaster. Herbaceous were mostly represented by Artemisia, Chenopodiaceae. Sphagnum spores finding in the in the upper layers of core indicates a significant moisture co...

PRELIMINARY STUDIES OF ZOOPLANKTON COMMUNITIES AND ASSESMENT OF THE ECOLOGICAL STATUS OF LAKE SUTURUOKHA (NE SIBERIA, RUSSIA)

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Larisa Frolova, Gulnara Nigamatzyanova, Lyudmila Pestryakova)

Lake Suturuokha (69'06 "N, 145'23" E) is a unique lake within the Indigirka River basin, which is located on the border of the forest-tundra and taiga in the north of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Formed due to the influence of glaciers of several glaciations in the late Pleistocene, the lake has a large area (69 km2) and comparatively shallow depths (2 - 2.5 m). Because of its unusual genesis and low study, the lake is of great interest to scientists. In August 2015, in the framework of the research expedition...

SPECIFIC STRUCTURAL FEATURES OF ZOOPLANKTON OF POLYGONAL POND (LENA RIVER DELTA, RUSSIA, ARCTIC)

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Gulnara Nigamatzyanova, Larisa Frolova)

This study is devoted to the investigation of zooplankton biodiversity and their adaptation to the short growing season of polygonal pond, located in the largest Arctic delta - the delta of the Lena River (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Russia). Samples were obtained within the Russian-German project "Expedition Lena" (August 2013, June-August 2014). Investigated polygonal pond with thickets of macrophytes shallow, well-oxygenated, weakly mineralized with low conductivity, slightly alkaline pH. The pond freezes in w...
