The gigantic fragmentation of land ownership in Slovakia is a consequence of historical development. The application and compliance of the Hungarian inheritance system principles up to present caused that in Slovakia at the end of the year 2018 was more than 8.4 million property plots, over 4.4 million land owners, 100.7 million co-owner relations.
