IMPACT OF IMMOBILIZATION ON THE LEACHABILITY OF THE POLLUTANTS FROM THE CONCRETE MATRIX MADE ON THE BASIS OF CONCRETE DUST FROM THE FLUE GAS TREATMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Monika Czop)

Dust which comes from the flue gas purification in the process of thermal transformation of municipal wastes is classified as dangerous wastes. Their management poses a big problem. As a method of safe management, the dust may be used for the production of concrete as a partial replacement for the cement. By applying immobilization it is possible to reduce dangerous compounds and the material obtained becomes safe for the natural environment. Such a form of the dust application corresponds to modern waste manageme...

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCTS OBTAINED FROM THE AEROBIC COMPOSTING OF ORGANIC FRACTION OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Monika Czop)

Landfilling, composting and incineration represent the most common processes used for the disposal of organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW). One of the methods that allow to limit the amount of stored biodegradable wastes is their biological transformation. In the European Union, composting is one of the most widely promoted methods of the biological processing of biodegradable waste. Composting of wastes consists on applying microbiological processes of transformation of the matter to obtain decomposi...
