ASSESSMENT OF THE POTENTIAL RISK OF ADVERSE IMPACTS ON WATER MANAGEMENT DUE TO THE USE OF ASPHALT ROAD COMPOSITION FOR ROAD SURFACES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Stanislav Bartusek)

In the last decades, transport and handling equipment sites have became progressively pronounced in areas that were recently lacking transport services. In many cases, transport services are not provided in mountain areas and in areas that have not been significantly affected by anthropogenic impacts yet. Local natural materials and asphalt mixtures are used for road construction, in which it causes road movement. Used asphalt mixtures are made up of mixtures of various organic substances, usually aromatic nature,...

HEALTH IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF WIND POWER STATION IN INDUSTRAILISED LANDSCAPE

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-11-20, Stanislav Bartusek)

Renewable sources of energy are supported in all the EU countries including Czech Republic. The landscape potencial of Central Europe enables generally the exploitation of wind energy rather than other sources. One of the most important problems is the location of the energetic power stations as the landscape in the Czech Republic is densely inhabitated and used for complex functions including agriculture, industry, communications, ecological functions etc. That is why the construction of any "wind mill" requires ...

EFFECT OF PAINTING LINE MODERNIZATION ON HEALTH OF LOCAL INHABITANTS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Stanislav Bartusek, Alexander Skacel)

Heavily loaded production lines for metal surface treatment gradually lose reliability and are subject to both physical and moral ageing. For this reason their replacement by a more advanced equipment is necessary and it is the most effective action. In addition to the production process efficiency improvement, this action provides also better parameters as to the environmental protection. The modernization undertaken also meets the requirements for BAT techniques. The paper handles also potential effect of the pr...

WASTES AND THEIR RISKS

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Stanislav Bartusek)

All wastes, as the products of human activity, necessarily enter matte r cycles in nature and ecosystems after certain time. They can damage the nature by their direct effects on biotic and abiotic ecosystems. Our contributio n discusses the risk properties of wastes and their influences on the environment with respect to the protec tion of public health. The hazard effects of wastes are demonstr ated using some cases of their direct exposition on organisms and other parts of the environment.
