A FORECASTING SYSTEM OF RESERVOIR FRACTURES BASED ON ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK AND BOREHOLE IMAGES INFORMATION –EXEMPLIFIED BY RESERVOIR FRACTURES IN TABNAK FEILD, FARS, IRAN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, H. Sarkheil, H. Hassani, F. Alinya, A. A. Enayati, H. Motamedi)

Reservoir fracturing or fissuring is a natural phenomenon and a major factor in many Oil engineering studies. The factors that cause the Reservoir to fracture were analyzed in Tabnak Anticline, in Fars province of Iran using the borehole images information (EMI). A nonlinear simulation and assessment model of reservoir fracturing was established using the artificial neural network (ANN) technology to simulate the structure and function of the neural network (NN) of the human brain with engineering technology. The ...

APPLICATION OF THE ELEMENT CONCENTRATION-PERIMETER AND POWER SPECTRUM –PERIMETER FOR SEPARATION GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALIES FROM BACKGROUND

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, A. Daya, H. Hassani, F. Alinia)

This paper introduces two methods, one is the element Concentration-perimeter and the other is power spectrum- perimeter method, for separating geochemical anomalies from background based on fractal approach. The variability of the element concentration and power spectrum as a function of perimeter from sample sites reveals two different fractal distributional patterns acting within two scale ranges. Therefore, these methods can be used to effectively separate geochemical anomalous areas from background. We compar...

CORRELATION BETWEEN MINERALIZATION AND STRUCTURAL CONTROLS USING THE FRACTAL ANALYSIS OF FAULT DISTRIBUTION IN NORTHEAST OF IRAN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, H. Sarkheil, H. Hassani)

The North part of Kashmar is located about 250 Km Southwest of Mashhad, Northeast Iran. It is part of the structural Darouneh fault zone and contains rhyolitic, andesitic, pyroclastic and lava flows. Based on results obtained from AFM and Miyashiro diagrams the igneous rocks classified as a subalkaline and calcalkaline. From the data obtained the Kashmar strike-slip fault geometry (distribution of shear fractures such as R,RЛґ,P surfaces, Riedel structures) plays an important role in controlling the location and e...

SEPARATION GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALY FROM BACKGROUND BY FRACTAL FILTERING METHOD

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2009, A. Daya, H. Hassani, F. Alinia)

Anomaly separation plays an important role in mineral exploration. The fractal based method presented in this study provides an anomaly separation method which accomplishes anomaly separation in frequency domain. It is based on the Fourier transformation, which can be compared to a glass prism. The prism separates light into various components, each depending on its wavelength (or frequency) content. Fourier transform can be viewed as a "mathematical prism" that separates a function into various components based o...

APPLICATION OF NEURAL NETWORK METHOD OF LOG PREDICTION IN PETROLEUM EXPLORATION “A CASE STUDY IN SOUTH WEST OIL FIELD, IRAN”

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, H. Hassani)

Petrophysical evaluation is one of the important stages in petroleum exploration activities and reservoir analysis. When a log is missing in a drilling well, petrophysiests hope to deduce it from other logs available in another part of the well or in neighboring wells, in order to define true petrophysic evaluation for corresponding well. This paper presented here, is an artificial neural networks (ANNs) modeling in one of the carbonate reservoirs in the south west of Iran. In this study, three separate ANN are ap...
