This paper is focused on the sulphur and su lphur forms distribution in the Antonin coal seam at Jiri and Druzba open-cast mines in the North Bohemian brown coal basin, in the Czech Republic. Briefly describes the basic geological structure of the area, deals with sulphur forms, sulphur genesis, chemism, coal sampling and analysis from the exploration boreholes.
