THE EFFECT OF GRINDING TIME ON FLOTATION OF COMPLEX Cu-Zn SULPHIDE ORE IN JAMESON CELL

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, Gursoy, Hakan, Oteyaka, Bahri)

For the flotation of complex Cu-Zn sulphide ores; mineralogical texture of ore, liberation particle size of minerals, selection of suitable flotation reagents and the technological properties of flotation machines are very important. The ore to be investigated in this study is complex Cu-Zn sulphide ore taken from East Karadeniz region that have some problems depending on fine liberation particle size. Ore grade is 2.75\% Cu and 6.75\% Zn. In this study, the determination of particle liberation size and the effect...

INVESTIGATION OF ULTRASONICS USE FOR COLEMANITE FLOTATION

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, Ozkan, Safak, Gungoren, Can)

The aim of this study is to investigate ultrasonics use for colemanite flotation. The samples used in the study were provided from Eti Mines Inc.’s Emet Boron Works. The samples were 0-3 mm concentrates which could have not been increased to desirable B2O3 \% grades. At first, determination of moisture and grinding experiments were carried out. The liberation size of the ore was determined as minus 250 $\mu$m and minus 38 $\mu$m was removed because of the negative effect of slime coatings in flotation. Then, it wa...
