In this study, activated carbon obtained from marine green algae biomass (AC-AB) was used as adsorbent for the removal of Pb(II) ions from aqueous media. The effect of initial solution pH, adsorbent dose, contact time and initial Pb(II) ions concentration were studied in batch system, at room temperature (22 ? 1?C), to determined the optimum experimental conditions.
