DETERMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT POSITION IN PPP METHOD IN AN IN-FLIGHT TEST - CASE STUDY

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Janusz Ćwiklak)

The article presents the results of aircraft positioning using the PPP method in air navigation. The PPP method is known as one of the new GNSS measurement techniques in use in aviation for precise aircraft positioning. In the article the position of the Cessna 172 aircraft was retrieved during an in-flight test conducted around the EPDE military airport in D?blin, Poland. The position of the Cessna 172 was determined and expressed in the BLh geodesic coordinates. The computations were performed in the gLAB v.4.1....

THE ASSESSMENT OF AIRCRAFT POSITIONING ACCURACY USING GPS DATA IN RTK-OTF TECHNIQUE

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Janusz Ćwiklak)

The article presents the results of the research studies assessing the accuracy of determining the position of an aircraft using the differential RTK-OTF technique inthe post-processing mode. The data for the research test come from an in-flight test in which a Cessna 172 aircraft was used, and which was conducted around the EPDE military airport in D?blin, Poland. The position of the Cessna 172 aircraft was retrievedin the ASOS v.2.0 program for 3 independent RTK measurements in the OTF positioning mode. For the ...

INFLUENCE OF A BIRD MODEL SHAPE ON THE THICKNESS OF A HELICOPTER WINDSHIELD DURING A BIRD STRIKE NUMERICAL ANALYSIS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Janusz Cwiklak)

The aim of this paper is to present results of numerical analysis of a bird model impact with a helicopter windshield. It appears that the research findings which take into consideration the birdпїЅs shape differ from those using a simplified bird model in the shape of a cylinder or a sphere. Overall, at higher speeds the windshield becomes pierced and its damage process occurs in a different manner. In order to conduct an analysis of a bird impact onto an aircraft windshield, we used the LS_DYNA software package....
