In the present work, polymer-silica hybrid latexes based on methyl methacrylate (MMA), butyl acrylate (BuA), 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), and different inorganic precursors (tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), isobutyltriethoxysilane (IBTES), diethoxydimethylsilane (DEDMS), vinyltriethoxysilane (VTES)) were synthesized by emulsion polymerization and sol-gel process.
