This paper reports the synthesis of hybrid zirconium sol-gel coatings by solпїЅgel process at room temperature (25 пїЅC), using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as a precursor and different alkyltriethoxysilanes (RTES) with variable organic functionality (methyl, vinyl and octyl) as surface modifying agents.
