In this study, the effect of physical, chemical and mineralogical properties of mine tailings on the microstructural, mechanical and durability properties of cemented paste backfill (CPB) samples prepared with normal Portland cement were investigated. Depending on the characteristics of the tailings, the difference in strength varied in the range of 6-22% between similar types of tailings.
