MAIN CAUSE OF THE PLANETARY SEISMICITY - THE RADIAL (PULSATORY) MOVEMENTS OF THE EARTH

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Ticleanu, M., Nicolescu, R.)

The quasi-permanent seismic activity that characterizes our planet can be very well explained through the geodynamic pulsatory model for Earth. The cosmic cycles governing effectively Terra?s evolution can provide a current and pretty realistic image compatible with sustained seismic activity of the Earth. More exactly, the phases of these dynamic cycles are crucial because they correspond to a trend of planetary expansion or contraction for Terra. From this point of view there are especially important two cycles,...

CATALOG OF FOCAL MECHANISMS FOR VRANCEA (ROMANIA) INTERMEDIATE DEPTH EARTHQUAKES (2005-2017)

The Vrancea area, is known as a zone with intense and persistent crustal and intermediate seismic activity. The intermediate depth seismicity is concentrated in a high-velocity volume, an almost vertical body in fact a sinking lithosphere not completely detached, in the depth range from about 60 to 200 km. The epicentral zone is situated in an area of about 40 ? 84 km2. The present tectonic of the Vrancea area is a result of a former subduction of oceanic lithosphere, followed by a continental collision and slab r...

JOINT ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS PRECURSORS OF SEISMIC EVENTS USING REMOTE SENSING DATA AT THE EXAMPLE OF EARTHQUAKE IN ITALY (24.08.2016, M6.2)

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Bondur, V., Tsidilina, M., Gaponova, E., Voronova, O.)

This paper presents the results of joint processing of satellite data providing record of ionospheric parameter anomalies, thermal anomalies and dynamics of lineament systems during the preparation and occurrence of a strong earthquake (M6.2, 24.08.2016, Italy). We describe the methodology for joint analysis of various geophysical parameters in monitoring of seismic areas. Based on the results of step-bystep processing of satellite data, it was demonstrated that 2 months before the seismic event, an increase in th...
