ANALYSIS OF THE SUITABILITY OF MATERIAL MODELS IN THE CALCULATION OF STRUCTURE SETTLEMENTS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Chalpkova, K. F., Hrustinec, L.)

The article deals with numerical analysis of oedometer tests and high-rise building in conditions of Bratislava focused on time development of settlement. Numerical calculations are processed in finite element geotechnical software Plaxis. Oedometer tests was modelled in first step, with using six material models (Linear elastic, Mohr-Coulomb, Hardening Soil, Modified Cam Clay, Soft Soil, and Soft Soil Creep). Oedometer tests was realized on samples with four different moisture. There was achieved the effect of so...

NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF DEWATERING PROCESS OF DEEP EXCAVATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Wrzesinski, G., Kowalski, J., Miszkowska, A.)

At present many new housing projects are being realized in Poland. They are often built in areas characterized by complex hydrogeological and geotechnical conditions. In such cases, the need to build deep excavations is complicated, especially when there is a high water table. The paper presents analysis of dewatering process of deep excavation of residential building. The excavation was carried out to the depth of 10 m below the ground surface. Due to the location of the investment near the river the water table ...

SOIL IMPROVEMENT USING STONE COLUMNS CREATED OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF QUARRY STONE

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Stancjo, Jakub)

Stone columns are one of the most used technologies of soil improvement in Slovakia. An impact of improvement depends on properties of original subsoil as well as properties of coarse - grained materials used for stone columns. Stone columns can be made of pebble gravels, crushed pebble gravels or quarry stones. Two different types (sizes) of quarry stone were used on two different building sites in similar engineering - geological conditions. There wasn?t direct comparison of both materials. The properties of use...
