HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL MONITORING ON THE STATIONARY OCEANOGRAPHIC PLATFORM IN THE BLACK SEA

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Garmashov, Anton)

The article is dedicated to the study of hydrometeorological parameters on a stationary oceanographic platform in the Black Sea. The research paper contains the description developed in the Marine Hydrophysical Institute?s complex for measuring meteorological parameters (wave height, wind speed and direction, free-air and sea temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity). The measurements were carried out on a stationary oceanographic platform located in the coastal zone of the southern coast of Crimea at a...

ANALYSIS OF THE SEA STATE PARAMETERS OF THE TIME INTERVAL THAT PRECEDED A SERIES OF NAVAL ACCIDENTS IN THE BLACK SEA

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Rata, Vasile, Rusu, Liliana)

The Black Sea is known by the shipping industry, even from history, that present many issues area for sailing. Thus, in the Black Sea basin, serious naval accidents take place periodically. An important influence on these serious naval accidents is the sea state conditions acting on the ships and the action of the wind. Thus, for a series of accidents identified in time and space, the wind characteristics were analysed, while the sea state conditions were simulated. Based on the information regarding the wind and ...

LONG TERM PREDICTION OF WIND SPEED WITH ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS

(STEF92 Technology, 2020-09-20, Stavarache, Gheorghe, Novac, Valerian, Ciortan, Sorin, Rusu, Eugen)

The paper presents a methodology, based on artificial neural networks, for the offshore wind speed values long-term prediction. One of the most available renewable energy is the wind energy. The offshore wind turbines placement presents some benefits comparing with onshore one, like lower environmental impact and long-term stability of surroundings geometry. Of course, there are also drawbacks, like difficult set-up and maintenance or expensive transmission systems for the converted energy. Over all, the off-shore...
