The most ancient Late Paleozoic flora of the Verkhoyansk is known only on the western slope of the Orulgan Range, where relatively abundant complex of the Early-Middle Carboniferous vegetative remains was identified in the Bylykat Formation by N.A. Shvedov in sixties of the last century.
