This paper is a sequence that is part of the extensive analysis of the Danube Delta genesis. Sacalin island is a territory formed in the Black Sea, a short distance from the Romanian coast, in the south of the Saint Gheorghe branch of the Danube Delta, the main source of transport for alluviums. The history of this new territory is relatively recent. The first mention was in 1771.
