Climate change is a serious threat to the e nvironment. The idea of climate envelope is stimulated by the quest for environmental su stainability. ETFE film is highly regarded as a sustainable material, wh ich together with the air makes the system ETFE pillows. Due to its characteristics, ETFE multilayer systems are suita ble for the construction of climatic envelope in certain areas, as well as highly effective modulators of the environment.

In this paper we analysed timber and timber based products as renewable materials that can be reused, recycled or used as ener gy source, with minimal waste.
