Hydraulic structure Palcmansk? Ma?a is located in the eastern part of Slovakia, on the Hnilec River. Its main function is to produce electricity and flood control. It is in operation more than 60 years. The reservoir was created by damming up the river valley by concrete gravity dam. The bedrock of the dam is formed by phyllite rocks.
