The research was carried out in the western part of Romania, in Belin?, a commune located in the N-E area of Timi? County. The climate is temperate continental, with an average annual temperature of 10.6В°C, the heat regime being favourable to the sweet corn crop. The average annual rainfall value of 605.5 mm provides relatively good conditions for the crop under study.
