EVALUATION OF FLAT AND VARIABLE RATE NITROGEN APPLICATION EFFECT ON WINTER WHEAT YIELD ON THE BASIS OF YIELD MAPS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Jakub Elbl)

The main aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of flat (UNI) and variable application (VRA) of mineral nitrogen fertilizers (NF) on the yield of winter wheat grain using yield maps. VRA NF technologies represent a wide range of procedures and processes that are a part of precision farming. The technologies are used to optimize the applied NF dose in order to fertilize high-yield crops with regard to their nutritional needs and the condition of the land where they are located. VRA NF on winter wheat fields we...

MONITORING OF SOIL HEALTH AND QUALITY WITHIN AN ENTERPRISE USING CONVECTIONAL FARMING SYSTEM

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Jakub Elbl)

The paper deals with the monitoring of selected indicators of soil health and quality in order to assess the impact of farm using conventional farming on arable land. The main objective of the work was to find suitable indicators of the state of the soil environment, and to set the monitoring of these indicators to obtain information usable for the agronomics of the monitored enterprises when deciding on interventions on land. Every responsible farmer tries to care best for his land because only good and healthy l...

USE OF ORGANIC-MINERAL FERTILIZERS AS ALTERNATIVE TO CONVENTIONAL ORGANIC AND MINERAL FERTILIZERS: EFFECT ON SOIL QUALITY

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Jakub Elbl)

Cultivation of high-yielding crops (winter wheat, corn, oil seed rape etc.) represents the only opportunity for Czech farmers to achieve profitable economic results. On the other hand, the above crops have significant demands on nutrients intake from soil. The withdrawn nutrients must be returned which is mainly carried out by mineral fertilizes. Nevertheless, it is not sustainable way from the long-term point of view. The most convenient source of nutrients are fertilizers of organic origin (compost, manure etc.)...
