The paper deals with determination of shear strength properties on the interface between different types of gravels and a woven geogrid. The shear strength was measured using large scale direct shear test apparatus with dimensions of the box of 300 x 300 mm and a height of 200 mm. The tests were executed on the samples compacted to the dense state. The density index of the sample was measured and controlled for each test.
