ONLINE MEDICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM TO CREATE A DECISION-MAKING EXPERT SYSTEM FOR RISK ASSESSMENT OF ATHEROSCLEROTIC PLAQUES FROM B-IMAGES AND HISTOLOGICAL PATTERNS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Jiří Blahuta)

We have developed an online information system of digitized B-images and histological patterns acquired from more than 500 patients. In this system, the data are stored in the form of text and image information. For each patient, there is stored information about anamnesis and diagnosis with B-images and histological patterns of atherosclerotic plaques. Firstly, the database is primarily intended for an experienced neurologist to store clinical data for various clinical studies in neurology. In the second phase, t...

THE REPRODUCIBILITY OF BLACK-WHITE AREA RATIO CORRESPONDING TO THE ECHOGENICITY GRADE ANALYSIS OF MEDIA TEMPORAL LOBE BRAIN STRUCTURE IN B-IMAGE TO ALZHEIMER DISEASE DIAGNOSIS

(STEF92 Technology, 2019-06-20, Jiří Blahuta)

The presented paper is focused on digital image processing of medial temporal lobe (MTL) brain structure displayed in B-image. The analysis of the echogenicity grade of the MTL is an important part of Alzheimer?s Disease diagnosis. The image processing is based on the computation of the ratio of black/white pixels in square-shape Region of Interest (ROI) in which the MTL is visible. This ratio could correspond with the MTL echogenicity grade. For this analysis, the core of our developed computer application create...
