Ultra-low-energy house (in some countries Passive house) is a term known very well to engineers and architects all over the world. In these times of minimizing an energy loads and negative emissions, energy efficient houses (ultra-low-energy, net-zero houses, positive houses) are one of the best ways to meet European пїЅ20-20-20пїЅ targets. The main topic of this paper is dynamic assessment on energy performance of an ultralow- energy family house designed for Slovak Republic climate. Family house was designed tak...

HISTORICAL BUILDINGS: WALL BASE VENTILATION SYSTEM

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Anna Sedlakova, Ladislav Tazky)

The purpose of the research is to find adequate solution against rising damp in historical buildings with minimal energy loss. The improvement in this case is the use of ventilated air channels. A special group of historical buildings are churches because they do not use routines as for example museums, galleries. The amount of possible causes of moisture problems in historic masonry underlines the complexity of this phenomenon. Evaporation is an important factor in rising damp. The surface of an affected wall con...
