This study presents functional and nutritional properties of the tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L), an ideal source for health promoting compounds. In this paper eleven cultivars of tomatoes were studied that were grown in greenhouses in Oltenia (Romania), which were differentiated between them by shape, size and colour of the fruit.
