In process of pig iron production besides main product, pig iron, also secondary products are formed, that have character of secondary raw materials and industrial wastes. The most abundant secondary product originating in the process of pig iron production, is blast furnace slag, its occurrence is about 300 to 500 kg for one ton of pig iron.
