POSSIBLE LANDING SITES FOR FUTURE LUNAR MISSIONS IN THE AREA OF THE NORTHERN POLE OF THE MOON

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Barnas, Janusz, Walusiak, H., Startseva, S., Korneeva, O., Rage, A.)

Currently, the southern polar region of the Moon is considered as the priority landing area for the planned lunar mission Luna-25 (Moon-Globe). Nevertheless, in this paper we have examined some areas in the North Pole region of the Moon as possible landing sites for future lunar missions. For a research we have chosen some areas located in the northern polar region: area of a crater Peary (88,9?N, 32?E), area in vicinity of Rozhdestvenskiy U crater (84,9 ° N, 152 ° E) and a Nansen F crater (84,95 ° N, 62,44 ° E). ...

TIMING OF CELL PRODUCTION IN TREE RINGS: AN AUTOMATIC TWO-STEP PROCEDURE IN R

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Belousova, D., Popkova, M., Babushkina, E., Shishov, V.)

The study of intra-annual dynamic of wood formation is one of the most progressive and fast-growing fields in plant sciences. The main anatomical characteristics of tree-ring structure, e.g. number of cells and radial cell size, are closely related to the kinetics of cell production. In this case, the timing of seasonal production is a fundamental aspect of plant development and functioning. To better assess the impact of specific climatic events to the timing and dynamic of growth, a process-based modeling can be...

VS-OSCILLOCSOPE ONLINE: WEB-APPLICATION OF PROCESS-BASED VAGANOV-SHASKIN MODEL FOR TREE-RING GROWTH

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Peresunko, P., Popkova, M., Sazonov, A., Ilin, V., Tychkov, I.)

The efficiency of the process-based Vaganov-Shashkin model for tree-ring growth simulation has been tested previously on extensive dendrochronological material from the Northern Hemisphere in USA, China, Russia, Tunisia, Spain and France. But using the model is not a trivial task, taking into account a number of the model parameters that should be adjusted for the certain environmental conditions based on parameterization approach. Here we present a new web tool of the VS-model parameterization, i.e. VS-Oscillosco...

SOIL AND CLIMATE FACTORS THAT DEFINE LAND PRODUCTIVITY IN THE LOWER PLAIN OF BANAT

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Kraus, Michal, Celik, O. N., Pyziak, L., Dzierwa, A., Dudek, K.)

The importance of this topic is derived from the fact that the agricultural production takes place under the influence of a complex of environmental factors and conditions modified in time and space by human intervention, which requires the knowledge of all ecological determinants in terms of their productive capacity in order to choose those more appropriate crops and technological measures for their sustainable management. The purpose of the researches is based on current scientific and practical preoccupations ...
