The effectiveness of using different beneficiation techniques of low-grade iron ore deposits of Assen iron ore mine in Thabazimbi, South Africa has been investigated. The sample received was confirmed to be low grade haematitic iron ore containing (39.18% Fe and 40.29% Si) both lumps and fines. The most abundant gangue present was silica.
