CAPTURING OF ACID DRAINAGE MINE WATER FROM THE BUNARDZIK WASTE DUMP IN FUNCTION TO INSTALLATION FOR LEACHING OF COPPER AND PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN THE BUCHIM COPPER MINE, REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Todor Serafimovski, Gerasim Konzulov, Goran Tasev, Sare Sarafiloski)

Acid mine drainage waters around the Buchim Mine were challenge for researchers and Buchim company itself, but of highest interest it was for the environmentalists. In several phases Buchim Mine was solving the problem of pollution around the mine, whhen definitely this environmental problem was solved with the construction of the copper leaching facility. Large quantity of material deposited at the Buchim Mine waste dump of around 130 Mt today represents source of drainage copper solutions that are captured by pi...

ORGANIZATION OF THE ACCESS DATABASE FOR THE KADIICA MINERAL DEPOSIT, REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Goran Tasev, Dalibor Serafimovski)

Organization of the Access database of the Kadiica copper deposit Eastern Macedonia represents the first attempt of this paper authors to synthesize geological exploration data of this ore bearing locality in one professional database available for the wider auditorium. Authors experience in organization of similar databases for other metal deposits such are Bucim, Borov Dol, Zletovo, Sasa etc., gave us an opportunity to construct quality Access database for the Kadiica deposit. This deposit is of porphyry type wi...

RESEARCHES IN THE PHASE OF EXPLOITATION OF THE ORE BODY CUKAR 2 EAST IN FUNCTION OF INCREASING LIFETIME OF THE BUCHIM COPPER MINE, EASTERN MACEDONIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Todor Serafimovski, Kiril Filev, Goran Tasev)

The Cukar 2 east ore body represents the latest explored ore body within the Mucim Mine with possibilities to enter exploitation stage in near fututre. Calculated ore-bearing coefficient in the Cukar 2 east ore body was 0.40%, meaning that within the ore body boundaries 60% of mass is not mineralized somehow, which is compatible with remaining three ore bodies within the Buchim porphyry copper mine. The calculated value of variation coefficient (V) has shown value of 71.39% that is in the range of 43-100%, which d...

SOIL AND GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION AROUND THE LOJANE AS-SB MINE, REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Goran Tasev, Todor Serafimovski, Tamara Djordjevic, Blazo Boev)

The Lojane arsenic-antimony deposit with its former mine facilities, for a longer period, represents source of contamination with heavy and toxic metals into the air, water and soil. Remains of mine waste in Suvi Potok near the Vakcince village, open waste and concentrate storage pond from the Lojane Mine and storage of reagents and toxins near the Tabanovce village represent source of pollution with As, Sb, Hg, Tl, Pb, Mo, Mn etc., which directly threaten surface and ground water in the vicinity of Vaksince, Loja...

METAL POLLUTION OF SOILS IN THE SW PART OF KOCANI VALLEY (R. MACEDONIA) RELATED WITH PB-ZN MINES ACTIVITIES

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2005, SERAFIMOVSKI, DOLENEC T., G. Tasev, M. Dolenec)

This paper presents the results from the study of heavy metals contamination of paddy soil of the Ko\vcani Field (Eastern Macedonia), an area with extensive agricultural production. The soil of the Ko\vcani Field is supposed to be polluted by heavy metals due to mining activities and acid mine drainage from Zletovo-Kratovo and Sasa-Toranica ore districts. This was supposed by the fact that acid mine drainage and direct input of Zletovo Pb-Zn mine effluents of pH 3.4 with mean Pb concentrations of 66 mg l-1, Zn at ...

POSSIBILITIES FOR ECONOMIC VALORIZATION OF SMALL COAL DEPOSITS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2005, P. Lazarov, T. Serafimovski, G. Tasev)

In this study, diagnostic leaching and ultrafine grinding as pretreatment step ahead of two-stage cyanidation of KaletaЕџ ore were studied to shed light on the refractory characteristics of ore. The overall gold extraction of 93\% was achieved in two-stage cyanidation of ultrafinely ground ore suggesting the presence of readily recoverable gold (74\%) and slowly reacting gold (19\%) in the ore. Diagnostic leaching approach provided information into the cause of the refractoriness of the ore. The findings of diagno...
