Today, the share of high-viscosity oil and natural bitumen in explored reserves is growing very rapidly and, thus, the volume of production of this unconventional hydrocarbons is growing. World oil reserves amount to about 320 billion tons of heavy oils and bitumen, mainly concentrated in Canada and Venezuela.
