Among the carbonaceous ores, the shales occupy a special position in terms of formation, petrographic and chemical composition, and in their characteristic role in the development of the fuel and chemical industries. One of the promising types of this raw material are dictyonema shale, which volumetric deposits are present in the territory of the Leningrad region and the Baltic countries characterized by an increased content of molybdenum, vanadium, silver, lead, copper and other rare and dispersed elements.
