Natural resource management plays a crucial role in regional development as it affects the social, economic and environmental aspects of the region. Effective management of natural resources can contribute to the sustainable development of a region by ensuring the long-term availability of resources and by protecting the environment. An important aspect is the promotion of sustainable practices in the use of natural resources. Sustainable tourism practices are needed that minimize the impact on natural resources while generating economic benefits for the region. Effective management of natural resources in the context of regional development also requires strong commitment and cooperation of stakeholders. This includes working with local communities, industry stakeholders and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs and concerns are taken into account in decision-making processes. It also involves fostering partnerships and collaborations between different stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and address common challenges. Natural resource management is a critical component of regional development as it affects the long-term sustainability and well-being of the region. By promoting sustainable practices and engaging with stakeholders, politicians and other stakeholders can ensure that natural resources are used in a responsible and equitable manner, contributing to the overall development of the region. Various environmental and sustainable development policies have been adopted in the EU and various programs are being implemented to improve the management of natural resources. The purpose of the study is to identify 10 concrete steps that will lead to integrated environmental management in the context of regional development. The goal is to achieve a balanced and sustainable regional development consistent with the protection of natural resources and their management. These initiatives include the development of protected areas, reforestation programs, sustainable agriculture practices and the promotion of renewable energy sources. One of the main challenges facing natural resource management is coordination and cooperation between the various stakeholders. Effective management of natural resources requires the participation of local communities, government agencies, businesses and civil society organizations.
