The purpose of the researches undertaken finds it origin in the scientific and practical concerns regarding the accumulation of knowledge with regards to the characteristics of the natural frame and of the social-economical particularities as elements which define the structural frame in the waste management and of the possible pressures upon the quality of the environment. The importance of the subject tapped derives from the fact that besides the food, clothing and wood necessities, the natural environment (soil, water, biodiversity ?.) is needed by the man for more and more and different other necessities, being used mostly as a place of development for the multiple and diverse social-economical activities for different constructions (buildings, highways, water storage basins, barriers, etc.), for recreational spaces, platforms and places for storing the many wastes and residues. The objectives and the activity proposed by the present paper are fitted in the current concerns of the scientific research at international and national level, destined for studying the relations between the eco-pedological conditions and the diverse interventions from the community of ?Homo sapiens?, in order to identify that management system for the wastes which combines, equally, in a harmonious manner, the productive potential of the natural environment with the applied work of the judicial man. In this context, the matter of managing the wastes appears as a primary necessity and the correct understanding of the issue leads to choosing the optimal solutions for solving it and, at the end, to the ecological and rational management of the wastes and at saving some precious natural resources in present, but especially for the future generations. Giving these considerations, in this work there are presented a series of aspects regarding the characteristics of the natural environment, according to the pedological and agrochemical information existent in the archive of OSPA from Timi?oara, but also according to the researches having the theme of ?Researches regarding the issues and the management of the biodegradable wastes ? Their implications on the quality of the soils from the county of Timi?? executed throughout the doctoral school, namely from 18.11.2015 and until present, being presented the conduct of the social ? economical activities within them, as well as a series of elements regarding the current situation of managing the wastes in the county of Timi?. By its geographical position, the county of Timi? (with a surface of 869665 ha, of which 693417 ha are croplands (60, 74) 109465 ha (12, 59%) being lands with forest vegetation and a population of 643.317 inhabitants, according to the census from the year 2015), is positioned in the West part of Romania between the coordinates 20016? (Beba Veche) and 22023? (Poieni) Eastern longitude, 45011? (L??una?), and 46011? (Cenad) Northern latitude, being crossed from East to South ? West by the rivers Bega, Beregs?u and Timi? with its tributaries: Timi?iana, Pog?ni? and B?rzava. In North, it follows its flow from East to West, the arm Aranca, the old flow of Mure?. The relief of the county of Timi? is characterized by a great diversity of shapes of relief, generally connected by the genesis and the whole Carpathian ? Danube relief, in the morphology of the county of Timi?, being able to be observed three distinct sectors: -the Eastern sector, the highest one, formed from the Northern ramifications of thePoiana Rusc? mountains,-the Central sector, formed from hills and foothill plains,-the Western sector, the lowest as altitude, formed from low plains, of subsidence andbottom lands. In order to manage the wastes (estimated at 9, 58 million tons of which 7, 66 million tons domestic wastes) in an as much correct and efficient manner as possible, following the European Union norms in the county of Timi?, it has been implemented an integrated system of waste management, co-financed from European funds, system which comprises the entire surface of the county of Timi?, namely the 99 administrative territorial unities, representing the covering with sanitation department in a percentage of 100% of the county, this being divided in 5 collecting areas: 0 Ghizela (area associated with the deposit of non-dangerous wastes), 1 Timi?oara, 2 Jimbolia, 3 Deta, 4 F?get, which come on top of the three geo-morphological sectors.
