The largest amounts of air pollutants are produced by the combustion of fossil fuels (coal, lignite, petroleum, natural gas etc.). This results in an emission of huge amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere (carbon oxides (CO, CO2), sulfur oxides (SO2, SO3), nitro gen oxides (NOx), dust, ashes and soot and others. Significant share of the air pollution is communication, mainly wheeled transportation. Aviation contributes to the pollution of the stratosphere, which adversely affects the state of ozonsphere and can be one of the causes of the ozone hole. One should also not forget about water transport, which also pollutes not only the air but water too. The purpose of this work is evaluation of toxic emissions from a diesel engine with an internal catalyst. Qualitative assessment of the emission of these compounds was determined by comparison of the results of research on engine with glow plugs covered with ceramic coating and with basic glow plugs (commercial - without the ceramic coating). The study was based on a four-cylinder 1.9 TDI compression ignition engine. It was expected that the use of glow plugs with an active coating will reduce the emission of toxic compounds..
Purpose is assessment of the impact of the possibility of adding catalyst in combustion engine. Objects are Diesel Engine with a capacity of 1900cm3 Subject catalyst in combustion engine. Method. Monitoring data were processed using software MS Excel. |
