This article is referring to an analysis regarding the skating temperature variation and the electrical power energy consumption obtained by a removable outdoor ice rink, which was seasonal installed in the exterior of a big size commercial building in Romania. The electrical energy power consumption was performed during a period of five years, between 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017 and 2017/2018, starting with the 15th of November and ending with the 15th of March, each period. The skating rink temperature variation depending on the exterior environmental conditions is presented. This variation analysis is related to the electrical power energy consumption for lightning and for the refrigeration plant operation. The ice rink refrigerant installation is an installation with mechanical compression in one step having an indirect vaporization using as a primer R134a Freon refrigerant agent and as a second agent a solution of ethylene glycol 30%. The article is proposing some technical measures to improve the energy performances of the analyzed installation to reach a better ice quality with the significant reduced energy consumptions.
