Amines play an important role in the modern chemical engineering. It is a key intermediate for agricultural, pharmaceutical, textile, polymer and other fields of industry. Bio-basedamines, e.g. the derivatives of isohexides, are of a great attention. Nowadays, different methods of the synthesis of polyamides, polyimides, polyesters, polyurethanes, and polycarbonates on the base of isohexides are developed. Thus, mono- and diamine derivatives of D-isosorbide are considered to be a prospective feedstock for polyamide synthesis. In the current study, novel catalysts on the base of hypercrosslinked polystyrene with magnetic properties are proposed for the one-pot processes of the cellulose conversion into isosorbide, synthesis of mono- and diamine derivatives of 1,4;3,6-dianhydrosorbitol. The synthesis methods of magnetic supports (Fe3O4/HPSMN270) and catalysts (3 % Ru-Fe3O4/HPSMN270) were developed. Synthesized magnetically recoverable supports and catalysts were characterized by different physical-chemical methods. The data on the material porosity, pore size distribution, elemental analysis, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) et al. were obtained. The magnetic properties of the supports Fe3O4/HPSMN270 and the corresponding catalysts were studied. The synthesized catalysts were successfully tested in the reaction of cellulose hydrolytic hydrogenation. The catalysts showed high activity and good stability in hydrothermal conditions.
