The purpose of this paper is to present an analysis for Romania?s energetic strategy designed for 2016-2030 according to the EU direction. Energetic security for a country is the most important after the IT sector, and also the knowledge to administrate key energetic resources. Import/ export of energetic resources is the question of how Romania will decide to develop or not its natural resources. The methodology will be a SWOT analysis, a personal point of view about the strategy. The environmental impact also is a challenge for all EU countries and Romania in her strategy has to be aligned. Romania still depends on energetic resources import. In this context the current paper can create the premises to identify alternatives with environmental policy as a focus. At international level, on the energy market, countries have to face the technology development, but also global warming phenomena, which will affect all economies. International cooperation to identify and optimize energetic resources and human capabilities can be a start for a new stage of development of international cooperation.
