Infrastructure development of mineral fields, mining and processing of raw minerals usually cause substantial degradation of the environment. Therefore, projected construction of mining enterprises (MEs) envisages a detailed study of geoecological state of the mineral field territories at all stages of ME?s life time. Intensive growth of the mining industry, significant technogenic loads on the environment and the need for addressing industry-specific environmental protection issues stipulate the relevance of such studies. This research is aimed at comprehensive geoecological investigation of the areas for projected MEs and evaluation of their technogenic impact on the landscape components. The research was implemented as a case study of the Klyon gold-silver deposit which is located in Chukotka Autonomous Region. The research methodology is based on the analysis of historical data and materials of previous surveys conducted on the territory of the gold-silver deposit. This paper contains a general overview of the studied area and results of assessment of the landscape components? environmental state, thus making it possible to substantiate proposals on setting up a system of environmental protection measures and engineering protection of the environment. It is noted that during the surveys, when technogenic activity was not carried out in the deposit area, no pollution of natural landscape was observed.
