To adequately manage the geographic reality, regardless of its metamorphosis in time and space, it requires a constant monitoring and observation. This means an objective evaluation of its structure, physics and physiognomy, this is why it is necessary to be analyzed in functional complexities called territorial systems and systemic regions. In order to better understand the role if the Giurgeu-Ciuc regional system in the process of sustained development, it is necessary to decipher its structure and how it functions. To come to know the inner structure of such a system we need to identify the main components and their role in defining the system?s state. At a superior structural level we distinguished two subsystems: one in which dominate the elements of the natural environment; and the other one is formed by components of the anthropic environment. In this article we focus only on the main bio-pedo-geographic characteristics of the Giurgeu-Ciuc Regional System in Romania, focusing mainly on three components: soils, vegetation and fauna and their tight correlation in the image of the relief mainly regarding altitude, the orientation of the mountain ridges, slope exposure, the presence of intra-mountainous depressions, etc. all regarding the climatic elements and influences generated by the differences in altitude within the region, which provide a protected and mild microclimate.
