Using vibration processing techniques in tilling is convenient due to design simplicity of the involved devices, as well as to efficiency reasons, such as soil compaction reduction. However, depending on the design of the agricultural machine and on the working regime, such methods can affect the environment, the comfort of the human operator and even his health. The paper studies some effects of the vibrations of an agricultural machine with an eccentric rotating mass, transmitted to the soil and to the human operator. The machine is modeled as a rigid body with an eccentric rotating mass. The interaction of the device with the soil is intermediated by a viscoelastic system, i.e. by a system which can be assimilated with a spring and a damper. At the same time, the hand of the human operator is modeled as another viscoelastic system, consisting of two springs and two dampers. The vibrations are produced by the eccentric mass which rotates with constant angular velocity. The equations of motion of the system were obtained by numeric integration. The amplitudes of the parameters defining the configuration of the system, as well as the amplitudes of the forces transmitted to the soil and to the human operator, were determined by computing the maximum values taken by the corresponding parameters, after a time interval considered long enough for the system to attain the steady state.
