According to the globally sustainable trend line focused on the development or optimization of eco-innovative technologies or products to improve technical, environmental and economic performances of building materials, the necessity of experimental applications dealing with recycling and use of construction waste in geotechnical works has been addressed in various research studies. In this context, the present paper aims to configure soil compositions by mixing various types of construction wastes and enzymatic additives in order to achieve soil improvement and environmental issues. The experimental tests were based on the inclusion of engineering techniques for analyzing the effects of construction waste and ecological binders in soil admixtures on structure performances in terms of strength parameters resulted from California Bearing Ratio (CBR). The applications were focused on preparing and testing of compacted specimens in order to estimate the CBR index considered as a sub grade clayey sand layer. The results revealed a significant increase of CBR values and thus it was demonstrated the efficiency of waste and ecological products to gain performant structures. The applicability of a flexible and sustainable methodology will lead to the development of alternative materials and technological tools with environmental benefits to be used in design or execution of road layers.
