The logistics operators is an important link supporting supply chain management, which manages the logistics chain, co-creates logistics networks together with other operators. Logistics operators servicing automotive concerns operate on the basis of a 4PL model (Fourth Party Logistics), i.e. they manage other companies providing transport, warehouse, transshipment, picking and other services. The activities of 4LP operators largely determine whether the supply chains they support can be assessed as "green". The article presents various platforms and IT tools used by the 4PL operators and transport companies. The aim of the research was to recognize the functionality of these platforms in the context of organizing ecological transport processes and supporting green supply chain management. In addition, the article highlights the use of IT platforms and the tools functionality was examined. The research was carried out on the 4PL operators and transporters providing services for the automotive industry located in countries within the European Union. The research focused on the automotive industry, which sets environmental standards for manufacturers and service providers.
